Speaking of home address, sharing your location is mustard. If you're in this area without an easily identifiable address, things can get tricky. Now, Google has a solution that allows Android users to share a six-digit code directly from the Google Maps app in their specific location.

"Press Blue Dot to get an integration code for your current location and easily share it with others," Google said in a blog post on Thursday. Besides using the blue dot, you can also get a compression code by pressing and holding the map to discard the pin where you want the pairing code.

Google is adding its own address system to Google Maps location sharing on Android

Google's Plus Codes are the company's efforts to reconnect addresses and therefore work best with all Google products. It also helps with locations and locations without addresses. The Plus Code itself is a short alphanumeric code, linked to city and country, and has been built for many years on Google Maps.

The company's latest Maps update makes it easy for anyone with an Android phone to share the location with these Plus codes: Tap the blue dot that represents where you are, and this can be shared directly with any app you can copy and paste to. Google adds that the technology at Codes is an open source.
Share this compiled code with someone trying to find or visit you somewhere, and they can enter numbers directly into Google Maps to navigate properly. This feature is a free and open source tool that you can use, allowing users to see how it works and develop their own ways to use it.

Check out this feature in the upcoming version of the Google Maps app as it will be on Android in the coming weeks.
