• Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro vs Redmi Note 9 Pro Max – Here’s what the regular variant is missing

Redmi Note 9 Pro

Redmi Note 9 Pro

Redmi smartphone giant Shyomi's affordable arm. We can say it's affordable, but Shiomi is already known for offering a very good value for money, as Redmi is already an inexpensive brand compared to some legends like Apple or Samsung.

One of the most popular offerings is the Note Family Redmi. We don't know why it's called Note, it's not like Samsung's Note, it's just a great phone that offers great value for money.

We are in the process of reviewing the Redmi Note 9, here are our first impressions - and they are definitely good.

  • Premium Design

162.3 x 77.2 x 8.9 mm, 199 g
Punch Hole Display
3.5mm headphone socket
Look at the Redmi Note 9 and it's hard to say it's not a flagship device. The colorful and shiny exterior brings with it a quality design, but in this case the plastic bodywork on the back is wrapped around the edges.

It has a seamless quality, but it's a larger phone, which is projected by a 6.5-inch display. At the same time, Redmi takes care to keep the bezels to a minimum, while the front camera sits in a nice punch hole in the upper left and things are generally very clean.

Pocket lint
There is no IP-level waterproofing at this level of the device, but it does get P2I's nano-level water protection. The parts were coated to repel water and prevent damage. While this is not equivalent to preventing water and dust from entering, it does protect against accidental stings. The bottom of this bracket has a single speaker - common on devices - but it comes with a 3.5mm headphone socket so you can at least connect your headphones for a better audio experience.

It is very easy to cover the hole of the speaker while you are gaming.

Dominating the back of the phone is the camera housing. The four lenses sit in the central cluster, slightly raised, and have a fingerprint scanner below. Although many offer under-display scanners, it does not necessarily mean that the rear scanners work reliably with a slightly sophisticated design. Here we like the implementation: This fingerprint scanner is fast and reliable, much better than the under-display scanner you find on a flagship phone.

Pocket lint
The Note 9 is a little on the thick side and a little heavier, but some of it is said to be out of reach of its larger battery. What we like most is that this phone feels extreme: the lack of glass does not bother us. It looks good and looks good.

  • Specs and Core Hardware

MediaTek Helio G85, 3/4 GB RAM
64 / 128GB + microSD (up to 512GB)
5020 mAh battery, 18W fast charging
Although the flagship phone has similar hardware loadouts, the range can be very low. The Redmi Note 9 went to MediaTek for its hardware, but things weren't easy, because the Redmi Note 9S and Note 9 Pro had Qualcomm hardware instead - so you can see how Redmi affects its pricing using different manufacturers.

For this regular Note 9, the MediaTek Helio G85 sits at the heart of it, similar to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 700 Series (which offers both the 9S and 9 Pro). However, the important thing here is that this is one step ahead of most other phones at this price, be it the Helio P22 or the Snapdragon 600.

Pocket lint
This makes the Redmi Note 9 a big advantage because it is inherently more powerful. Moving from the Sony Xperia L4 to the Note 9 - which is only £ 10 cheaper - is a world of differences in its performance. While this phone is not as powerful as a flagship phone, the apps open fast and you can still play all the latest games.

For example, First Call of Duty Mobile or PUBG Mobile and you have a good experience. We're getting those chicken dinners on PUBG Mobile, where some low-power phones can't keep up. Yes, you can't play in high graphics settings, but the important thing is that you still get a smooth gameplay experienceRedmi smartphone giant Shyomi's affordable arm.
